International shipping on Marka
A Marka seller can ship to other countries. The seller chooses which countries in Settings, the buyer sees them on the listing, and checkout only accepts a delivery address in one of them. The seller sets one flat shipping price per order, and ships with any carrier.
Can I sell to buyers in other countries on Marka?
Yes, if you choose to. Shipping is set by each seller: you pick the countries you ship to, and a buyer can only check out with a delivery address in one of them. A seller can ship only once they have chosen the countries in Settings, and one who picks only Canada ships only within Canada.
How do I choose which countries I ship to?
In Settings, then Shipping, you pick the countries you ship to. Checkout only accepts a delivery address in one of those countries.
How does a buyer know a listing ships to their country?
The listing page has a Ships to row that names the countries the seller chose, or a count and a few examples when there are many. At checkout the delivery address is limited to those same countries, so a buyer cannot pay for an item the seller does not ship to their country.
Who pays for international shipping, and how?
The buyer pays the flat shipping price the seller set, together with the item, at checkout, straight to the seller's own Stripe account. The price is per order, not per item. Marka takes no marketplace fee on the item or on shipping, and Stripe's own processing fee still applies to the payment.
Which carrier do I use for an international parcel?
Any carrier today, because the seller buys the label and adds the carrier and tracking number to the order. These carriers each have a page here that says where Marka's support for them stands.

Does Marka sell international shipping labels?
Not yet. Buying carrier labels through Marka is not live, so today a seller gets the label from the carrier and adds the tracking number to the order. Planned, not shipped: connecting a seller's own Easyship account so carrier labels can be bought through it.
Does an order picked up in person have shipping?
No. Shipping exists only on checkout orders that are shipped. An order picked up in person has none, so there is nothing to set for it.
