Read-only access for AI clients
When an AI client connects to Marka's hosted MCP server, it can now ask for read-only access instead of full access.
- The consent page says which one you are granting. For read-only access it says the client can search and read listings, and cannot create or change anything.
- A read-only connection does not see the tools that create or edit drafts. If a client tries to use one anyway, it gets a clear
insufficient_scopeerror. - A client that asks for the default access still gets the usual consent for reading and writing. API keys and existing connections keep full access.
- You can disconnect any client at any time under Settings, Connected apps, and its access ends straight away.
The MCP page in the docs explains the hosted server, and the agent setup hub has the steps for connecting a client.
